okaaaaay. so i was doing my homework like finally, after many days of just lying down doing nothing. first homework on my schedule: chinese email. okay, i shall at least try to do it. but when i take out the worksheet, read the question, i gave up. i dont understand a single bit, okay maybe i understand 50% but well it's useless. i don't get why the question asks me to write a email to this nursing home's owner and ask them to provide the school with 20 teachers for a cny celebration? uhh.. shouldn't it be asking them to bring over 20 old folks instead of teachers?? so the teachers just dump the old folks and come to the school for a cny celebration? the chinese compo qn is plain weird! then i decided to look at the compo qn, seeing if i could at least do one. but when i read it.. it's even worse than the email. more than 3 chengyus in a question? hellooooooo the only chengyus i understand are those from pri school, say p4 or p5 standard. and the teachers decided to bombard us with weird chengyus that doesn't make sense. and not to mention the main topic of the question. i don't even know how to read the word, much less understand it. how to do compo like that you tell me? JOKE. one day in 2013 i'll get irritated on chinese and i'll just break down. seriously. and maybe i'll go into depression. i'm not joking. when i read the compo/email qns i already almost teared. this is irritating. when did i ever agree to learning chinese? i'm forced to learn chinese omg. i don't care if my ancestors are from China or whatever they wanted to brainwash us with. because i believe, even though if i'm a Chinese, who knows, far far back into my ancestry(?), who knows, maybe my greatgreatgreatgreat x100000 grandmother is an angmoh, married to my greatgreatgreatgreat x100000 grandfather who is a Chinese with the surname Lim? wouldn't my ancestor be an angmoh? and if you trace back that person, the ancestors are all angmohs! so........ why learn chinese? just learn english, that's enough. if you learn chinese for the sake of doing businesses with China, OH PLEASE. forget it. me? doing business with China? i'll end up ruining my company instead. hahaha. if that's the case why Germany, India all those never learn Chinese? stop brainwashing us that we must learn chinese cause it's sosososossososo important. why not just learn a compulsory language, english, and when maybe we're sec 1, we choose a 2nd language that we are actually interested in? that'll not only pull up our grades, it'll also make us attentive during lessons instead of a typical chinese lesson where everybody seems bored and doesn't listen to the teacher. forcing us to learn chinese is a waste of time. to sum all these up, I HATE CHINESE.
heavy things aside, let's move on to the happier things that happened recently. :-)
watched movie with Junie on friday, 7th dec! :D went till lido to watch it and the feeling's so amazing. cause i hardly go to orchard cause i'm so poor. HAHA. well, we were like 2 hours early after buying the tix and we almost decided to watch a movie so that we can pass time. but, there's no available movie that will pass the 2 hours and not make us late for the 2nd movie. sooooo, we just walked around orchard/somerset seeing stuffs but getting bored soon cause we're just not interested in the stuffs @ town. haha. after 2 long hours of walking around.. finally it's time so we went back to lido to watch Skyfall! :) for a person who doesn't really likes action movies, on a fair side, it's quite good in terms of the effects and all. especially when they shoot and when the house was on fire. hahaha i enjoyed that part the most. but i think i'll just stick to comedy romance movies cause it's my loveeeee.
so on saturday, 8th dec, we had a Jeanius gathering to celebrate the 8th birthday of Jeanius! even though i've only joined for.. 2 years, and didn't go to many events/gatherings cause it's always on saturdays and i've tuitions on saturdays, it's been a good 2 years. many more 2 years for me, and 8 years for Jeanius will come and we'll support Jeanette always! i believe the 8 years didn't go smoothly, there're bound to be ups and downs along the way. but they overcame it, and here we are today! growing stronger and supporting our dear princess, Jeanette Aw. ♥ soooo, we had a potluck picnic, and i brought sausages! luckily, my sausages finished! soooo happy. cause i was so scared that people won't even touch my sausages. HAHA. well we had games, and it was really awkward in the beginning but well.. it became slightly better after a few games. HAHA. oh and the amazing race made me have muscleaches cause we kept climbing up and down the stairs. well... :p overall, it was fun and i enjoyed it!! ^^ but soon, an unlucky thing happened to me haha. when it was time to go home, we headed to bayfront mrt. and cause it's the first time i'm at bayfront mrt, i'm so blur. well so i went from bayfront > promenade cause i needed to change to dhoby ghaut mrt. then at promenade, i went to the platform saying to dhoby ghaut. and when i reached that platform, the train was there, i double-checked that it was to dhoby ghaut, and i rushed in. this comes the scariest part: the announcement saying the next station. it was TO BAYFRONT. i panicked. cause i'm alone and it's like 8pm already and i'm in an unfamiliar place! it's really scary. so basically i went from bayfront > promenade > bayfront > promenade > dhoby ghaut > serangoon. the scary thing was that i'm alone, it's dark, i'm unfamiliar with this area, and IT'S NOT VERY CROWDED!!! T_T i was so so so so scared omg. but well i made it to dhoby ghaut safely and went home alright. maybe except for the trauma i faced. :p
speaking about Jeanius, it's so disappointing cause my tuitions are finally changed to sunday (events are usually on saturdays as mentioned), which means i can finally make it to events on weekends, but NEXT YEAR I'M TAKING O LEVELS. which means I CAN'T GO FOR A LOT EVENTS AGAIN. ughhhhh. sec 2 sec 3 tuitions on saturdays, but no o levels, also can't go events. sec 4 finally no tuitions on saturdays, but i have o levels so can't go events. ughhh. this is so annoying LOL. so i must like wait till o levels end before i can finally go to many events (i hope?) cause poly has no tuition and there's this 4-5 month break before i start poly. hahahaha. oh and poly has NO CHINESE OHYEAHHHHH. shall bid good riddance to chinese when i confirm plus chop go into poly. whoop! :-)
