japanese

recently, there's been very little updates on jeanette bc she's forbidden to post photos about tsdny or stuff like that. so all my fangirling nature all went to mayuko & mainly mayuyu, because mayuko doesn't have much news due to college. so i decided to blog about japanese and just japanese.

it all started in late 2011 or early 2012, i can't really remember. i went funshion to watch 10 promises to my dog. i know that movie is released very long ago, and i also don't know what made me decide to watch it suddenly. it's fate i guess.

so, 10 promises to my dog was a really sad and touching movie. i felt totally different after it ended. then, i went to search for the cast bc i felt their acting were awesome. who knew that a simple google search, just to satisfy my curosity, would lead to what i am today?

i remember seeing the casts' name and i decided to click on the 2 actresses that acted as young akari & adult akari bc well, akari is the main character after all. i didn't feel any connection towards rena tanka, the person who acted as the adult akari, so i just closed that tab not long later.

but as fr mayuko, i have no idea why, or how. something within me just feels like i wanted to know her better. at that point of time, my one and only idol was jeanette and i didn't think of having plenty of idols so i didn't really think much of mayuko being my favourite idol at first. but still, i researched and found her facebook managed by her agency. i believe that was my first stepping stone to the world of jdramas. i went to her facebook page, and became really interested. and that was how i eventually loved mayuko.

thanks to mayukoaday on livejournal and aimuse, i also became more updated on her news and also interview translations. through her interview, i found out she's actually VERY similar to jeanette. it's almost hard to believe that. she likes literature, loves reading, is cheerful & bubbly.. she's so similar to jeanette it's almost unrealistic. it just made me love her even more.

then, because of my introduction to jdramas, i developed an interest to japanese. i asked my friend who took jap as 3rd language about jap and she recommended me to memorise the hiragana characters. i'll never forget that info bc it really helped me a lot!! so, i memorised and memorised. i used various websites and youtube videos and could more or less remember the characters.

and because i spent time memorising hiragana, this love for japanese was cultivated. i wanted to join a CC course, but someone on twitter told me about the jap school at kovan so i went there instead. IT'S REALLY CHEAP. and again, i must thank her. i wouldn't be here if these two people didn't helped me get started with jap. i spent the whole of 2012 going for elementary 1 & elementary 2 course, and my love for jap didn't die, and never will. if not fr Os this year, i'd have continued on to intermediate 1.

so, because of my love fr jdramas and jap, i decided to try something new - songs. in my whole life, i've never found songs interesting. i just listen to them fr the sake of listening, and i can go months without listening music. i didn't really understand why people liked singers and stuff.

back to topic. i decided on AKB48 because i knew they were really popular in japan and it's something really big there. at first, i only listened to their songs. i didn't bother watching their PVs or concerts bc i thought these type of things would be boring. well, their songs were catchy and EVERY SINGLE SONG is nice. i even downloaded every song that is sang by akb48 without even listening to it, and they were all nice. i did try searching about akb48, but their system was really complex and they had lots of members which was just confusing. so i gave up and just sticked to listening their songs.

then came stylexstyle. when i knew jeanius had free tix to stylexstyle, and that akb48 will be attending stylexstyle too, i became more invovled in akb related stuff. i searched twitter and found a very reliable account, @AKB48Global. thanks to that account, i was updated on many news and stuffs (which i ignored at that point of time) and yeah.

however, after stylexstyle, i paid more attention to that twitter account. then i got to know watanabe mayu. there was a photo of her filming koisuru fortune cookie and i found her really unique. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY TOO. one day, i suddenly decided to google bout mayuyu. and that day changed my life. it has introduced me to AKB48, many other members, and because of her, i learnt how to understand the complex system. and that was how i became obsessed with mayuyu/akb48. and i can also proudly say this. MY OSHIMEN IS MAYUYU! ^_^

and that was how it all led to me being crazy over jap, mayuko & mayuyu. i just felt the need to blog bout this idky. i guess it amazes me when i look back and realise how much changes there were, or how a simple click on the computer brought me to where i am today. it's just really amazing when you look back.
