so, today was TSDNY (my acronym fr tangshan dao nanyang when i wanted to tweet bout it) roadshow at west coast plaza. my first impression upon seeing 'Venue: West Coast Plaza' was not again. not only is it far, it's super small and what, it's all restaurants. and i had a rather bad experience at west coast plaza fr zzsf roadshow (link: here). so i couldn't expect much.
so again, i met yanting at clementi for breakfast. then headed to west coast plaza with her & clara. then well the usual starts. sit there and rot for 6 hours. what's new.
well, i'd have to say i'm rather satisfied with the operations of this event. unlike the zzsf roadshow where it's all chaos, it's really maintained to a certain extent. well, fr zzsf, you had to queue outside the event area to get the autograph pass - then what's the point of queuing infront of the stage at 8am? for this, they barricaded the area and prevented too many people from entering the area, and personally handed out handtags (????? i totally forgotten the word. those genting indoor & outdoor passes that you show to take a ride) to each and everyone in that area. which means, those who were prevented from entering didn't have a 100% guarantee of getting the tag to get the autographed notebook. welllll that was rather nice. for the zzsf event, people who came at like 2pm could queue as well and it's totally unfair but for this, it's not allowed! so i'm happy with this. also, they never moved the barricades infront, so the public couldn't squeeze to the front and steal our places (unlike zzsf's). which also meant no unreasonable aunties ignoring us when they're at fault (totally spoils the mood). 嬉しい！
as expected, the event started late. what's new again. i admire japan's punctuality so so much. anyway, it was a damn short event. the emcee talked and talked and talked and asked qns and stuff. BORRINGGGGG (ごめんなさい。) then the cast came out, YAY JEANETTE. they just talked about their characters and the drama's plot and then it's the autograph session. okay that's all. seriously. no games or what. whaaaat?? anyway, i plucked up my courage and waved and smiled at jeanette (a proper smile, finally) and looked into her eyes without my shyness overtaking my actions. REALLY, REALLY GLAD.
after the event, we went to carpark to wait for jeanette. IT WAS REALLLLLLY HOT. jeanette came, took a couple of group photos, and TA-DAAAAAAA they decided to have individual photos!!!!!! omg that's seriously, seriously awesome. that's a collection of 3 individual photos for now (yes it's little, i know). again, i forced myself to be brave and smiled properly (for the 2nd time in my life) and took a photo with her. hoping it's nice cuz i looked like shit in the 2nd individual photo in may. (笑) thennnnn after all the members took their photos, jeanette left and that's the end of the event.
honestly, this event was more than i could ask for. proper management of crowds, talked to other members fr the 1st time (even if it's less than a sentence), smiled properly to jeanette, looked into her eyes, and lastly an individual photo. thank you so so so much jeanette and jeanius. i love y'all so much. akb48 might be the thing i seem to fangirl over 24/7 now, but deep down inside jeanette is still my #1. i love you jeanette.
