i cannot express the happiness i felt when you won the two most hyped up categories, Favourite Female and Favourite Onscreen Couple. despite strong competition from Rui En, you still did it. i'm sure you've received a vote or two from audiences who saw the effort you put in. they might not be fans, they might not be supporting you always, but they saw your hard work. these casual votes may not be plenty, but once piled up they are worth a lot.

everyone knows Rui En has a strong fanbase. she's popular among many, i agree. many expected her to win, including me. which was why i did not put my hopes up. in the early stages of voting, Rui En was leading the weekly polls. it was expected. but at the later stage, a huge turnaround happened. you, Jeanette, started leading not only the Favourite Female Award, but also the Onscreen Couple Award. i'm really touched and glad just by this fact alone.

the anxiousness i felt before they were announcing the winner was indescribable too. i'm sure it's not only me. after all, everyone wanted to see this Jeanette vs Rui En showdown. when the two words, 欧萱, were announced, everything felt like a blur. we jumped up and screamed immediately. i screamed till there's no tomorrow. it was really such a blur though. we were literally jumping and waving our boards. people around me started to cry. it was a really touching sight.

you were ill on day, i could tell. despite not looking as radiant as usual, i could see the happiness in your eyes. those were enough. we succeeded in winning the award for you. but we wouldn't have succeeded if you did not put in your best. so, thank you very much. 本当にありがとうございます。

next week, or rather this sunday, will be Star Awards Show 2. there comes our most anxious award - Best Actress. in your entire 10 years plus of acting, you have yet to win a Best Actress award. in your showbiz career, you could say there are 3 'breakout' characters - the ones from Holland V, The Little Nyonya, and more recently, The Dream Makers (zzsf). this year, your 3rd 'breakout' character, Zhao Feier, will be the one you'll be representing in Star Awards. i strongly believe you can clinch this Best Actress award - if you don't, i have a strong reason to believe it's rigged. you are at your 3rd 'breakout' character now. Holland V, you're still new, so not winning BA is alright. The Little Nyonya, you really improved a lot and this character gained new fans for you. yet, you still did not win BA. well, life happens, so it's fine. after all, the character is a 'perfect' one whereas Joanne's character was more challenging. but if you still do not clinch the award this year, then it's straight up crap.

ranting material aside, i really hope you clinch this Best Actress award. Zhao Feier has been praised by various media, people, etc. since this is a professionally judged award - as claimed by mediacorp, i'm a little happy. fans can't powervote someone and it won't turn into a popularity award. anyway, i really hope you win. fans have written in to the media to praise you, journalists have written about how well you portrayed your character, your fellow veteran artistes have all said you deserve this award. this character is indeed well-received. ever since i became your fan in 2009, i have never seen such positive feedback regarding your character. i was shocked initially too. so this really proved you did your best. and we can tell you did. Zhao Feier is not an easy character to portray. deep thinking is required. you really expressed the various emotions well. i could go on and on about how well you did, but you get my point. i really hope you win this award. this award deserves to be in your hands, and only yours.

if this year's award is screwed up and you somehow do not win it (again), i wanna let you know we're always here for you. so i hope you will still do your best and not be discouraged. even if you do not win, people can't deny Zhao Feier is a legendary character. because it is, just like how Yueniang/Jingjing from The Little Nyonya/Holland V is. you've succeeded, actually. right from your 1st 'breakout' character, you have already succeeded. if not, it won't be called a 'breakout' character.

to conclude, i really wish you the best this sunday. in my ideal world, you would rule all the awards and be the 'big winner' again. but sadly life does not happen like that, so no matter what, we, your fans, will always be supporting you. i love you Jeanette. see you this sunday, if i'm selected to attend Star Awards Show 2.
