Currently really, really, really hyped up right now all because of Mayu's Avail CM! And in one of the videos (the 1:50 one) there's a longer & clearer version of Mayu's CM song, Onna no ko Nara!!
Couple that with the beautiful outfits Mayu wore, and the gorgeous & beautiful Mayu and you have me spazzing!!
The CM song blows me away, Mayu blows me away every single time, and now I'm spazzing over how perfect the outfits matches her! Mayu should really wear these kinds of coordinates more, really.
But I'm amazed at Japan's fashion - I really love their fashion as compared to Singapore's, where we are just limited to normal tees, crop tops, bralets for the really brave ones, plain old shorts, jeans, the same skirt designs in H&M every single time I visit the store. As an average-sized person (I'm saying this confidently) I definitely can't wear crop tops and bralets because I'm not so thick-skinned, so I'm just limited to the really plain boring tees and shorts/skirts every single time I go out, be it to school, malls, work, you get the point.
During my 1 week visit in Japan, even though the girls there are really slim and all (thanks to their diet based on their culture etc), I barely see girls wearing what Singapore girls are wearing (super super super super small tops that barely cover their bodies). Occasionally, I'll just spot some girls wearing a decent crop top - nothing over the top. But that's it. Mind you, it was summer when I went, the weather is as hot as Singapore's. Or maybe I just haven't been to many places, but I did visit Disneyland, where the locals contribute more to the sales of tickets than us tourists. (Yes, unlike other Disneylands.) Oh, Disneyland was filled with many high school students when I went, girls especially, even though it was a school day.
Of course there are some girls who'll wear really bold outfits, but definitely, definitely, not as many as in Singapore. (Obviously, because I didn't even spot any.)
YET, they look so damn cute and pretty compared to us!!
(Sidetracking here, but when I hosted a couple of Japanese high school girls for a few hours the other day, damn when I first met them they were like the total opposite of us. What they wore were just simple tees and jeans/pants, but the way they coordinated them makes us Singaporean teenage girls (or at least it was just me and 2 other girls agreeing on this point haha) stand out, in a bad way.. lol)
My point is, it's amazing how much of a difference there is between Japan and Singapore, two Asian countries, huh? Yeah, I know Japan has always been the different country, the country which stands out. But I did not expect such a major difference to exist in terms of casual fashion.
Which brings me back to my spazzing mode..
I WANNA PURCHASE MANY MANY MANY CLOTHES FROM AVAIL, ESPECIALLY THOSE OUTFITS MAYU WORE!
But..
Those are the fall/winter collection and it's nearly impossible to wear them in Singapore - which means I can't purchase it. :( The only feasible option would be the outfit with the beanie & baseball jacket, since it looks 'light' enough to be worn in this heat. But that's not enough!!! I want all of those outfits!! Watch those videos I posted above to know what kind of outfits I'm talking about, please ^^
Now that I think about it, I kind of regret not going on a shopping spree when I went in summer. To make myself feel better, well, it was my first time in a really overwhelming country and I can't comprehend it well enough. Yup.
I remember going to Europe during fall and all the clothes in all stores were all for fall/winter and I couldn't purchase any. Not gonna raise my hopes high, but well since it's Japan, I guess I can hope for some 'light' clothes available in stores, maybe Avail? ^^
BUT DAMN IT I WANT ALL THOSE OUTFITS!
DISCLAIMER I'm definitely not criticising Singapore/Singaporean girls in any way. I simply lean waaaaay too much towards the Japanese sector. And I'm writing this post while being hyped up so I can't think properly - sorry if I offend anyone! Please don't come at me!
