AFA15 post!

I'm still lagging behind on my Japan trip post but i'll leave it for later since I've already got the most important days, solo live & solo event, published.

So...

In the beginning when the event was announced, I was pretty neutral on going. Didn't have an interest in anime, but I also wanted to take a look since I've never been there. Then one day I found out an idol group would be attending, Stand-up! Hearts, from twitter. So I thought why not take a look at them. HAHA

On that day itself when I went, my friends didn't intend on going in so I was pretty disappointed initially because I wanted to see idols. But things changed for the better and they went in so I got to go in yay HAHAHA.

And the moment I stepped in....

My life changed.

Went to CHEERZ booth immediately after entering - the booth with SUH (Stand-up! Hearts)! And the moment I reached..

Wtf got fished so badly by Riichan LOL wtf. I can't anymore she kept fishing me sooooooooo hard I was blushing so badly omfg.

And that was the start of my journey with them~

So she tried very hard to explain to me about CHEERZ in english and I was too shy to speak Japanese so..... yeah I didn't stop her LOL I feel so bad now. And I was so confused regarding their group name - was it CHEERZ or SUH LOL.

So yeah basically I was blushing so hard and getting fished so hard by this damn good fisher HAHAHAH.

Afterwards went to watch their live!!! My first idol live!!!!!!!

 

 

 

 

Although I got fished by Riichan earlier on and was trying to focus on her during the live, I couldn't help but notice Nijika omg. Yes she's cute but partly because her performance really caught my attention. It was so full of energy and she was really good. I don't usually call idols' performances good because I suck at differentiating between good and bad for those average performers (average isn't a good word, but basically just those that aren't extremely terrible), so when I actually call a performance good it must have really struck me hard. And Nijika's performance did. Her cute factor plus that twintails are bonuses to me hehe.

The live was awesome. Although I didn't know any songs and didn't know how to cheer but I really enjoyed it! 

Afterwards, headed back to the booth for phototaking!

Then went back out to chill! 

And that was pretty much AFA Day 1. Oh towards the end Riichan came to us to bid us goodbye, and she asked all of us if we'll be coming the next day. Originally I intended to attend only on 1 day because y'know, no interest in anime and all but when Riichan asked me that, I just couldn't say no so.......... I had to come back again the next day HAHAHA

Day 2!

Oh when I arrived and was about to enter, I suddenly heard Japanese so I looked up from my phone and saw the members walking past me HAHAHA OMG.

All the members remembered me (thank you!!) and kept saying Ohayo~ to me while I was still too shy to respond in Japanese (I seriously need to cure this lack of confidence of mine) so I just kept nodding awkwardly. Sigh..

Afterwards went to walk around. 

Did a wakuwaku test and got a free Doraemon mask as well HAHA

AND!!!!!!!!! I SAW THIS PIG WHICH IS THE MASCOT FOR A RAMEN STALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda felt bad somehow for going back to them non-stop and they seemed to be busy promoting their group so yeah I feel bad if I kept hogging their attention bc that'd mean they'd be promoting to lesser people so didn't dare bother them much sigh.

Went to walk around a bit more and chilled for a while before going to get a good spot for their live! Oh and I bought this super crappy 3 for $5 glowsticks wtf it was so embarrassing waving them because the the venue was so bright and my glowsticks were practically useless, not to mention so small compared to the lightsticks around me. I have lightsticks at home but they are all Mayu-related so I couldn't use them. And I didn't want to spend $30 on a colour-changing lightstick because I wouldn't be using it often, and should I be going to their live in Japan I could get it at a cheaper price there so.. had to live with my crappy small glowstick LOL.

Oh and not to mention the crowd was terrible. Because there were cosplayers' appearances BEFORE and AFTER SUH so their fans didn't want to leave.. and because of that I couldn't get front row sigh. 

 

Went back to the booth afterwards again! And the amount of people there compared to yesterday increased, I'm really happy to see that hahaha. 

 

There were many people at the booth so not much 1-to-1 interaction as compared to Friday. It's good but it's also sad for me because lesser interaction time sigh. So yeah no solo pics, just group shots!

Day 3!

Actually made plans to meetup early to prepare a little something for them but I overslept because I fell asleep the previous day without setting alarms :(

But yeah in the morning, went to the booth again to take pictures with them~

 

I know I look so unglam but Karin told me we look like we're having so much fun so I'll just upload these here :') This was what happened: Karin suggested a 見つめ合い pose (1st photo), we posed for very long without knowing whether the photo was taking so was turning to check (2nd photo) and then because we were posing for so long I felt so shy and all because SHE'S STARING INTO MY EYESSSSSSSS so that's how the 3rd photo happened LOL. I guess. Can't really remember. My mind was blank. Her looking into my eyes with that expression was a killer.... I still remember it very clearly rip isabelle

Afterwards I plucked up courage to strike up a convo with Nijika to tell her I'll be going Japan in March next year, hopefully I'll be able to attend their live! YAY I (kinda) HAVE NO REGRETS ANYMORE yay

Went to continue preparing the gift we planned to give them: photos with our messages and a shirt signed by us. I'm gonna keep the messages private so no pictures of that.

 

Went to the stage afterwards to try to get a good spot. And!!! Stood beside fans who flew from Japan!!!!!! They taught us our oshis' lightstick colours and Nijika's red! And I had a red glowstick coincidentally. FATE

The live was a lot more fun, possibly because we were beside the fans and their mixes and calls built up the hype~ ATTENDING A LIVE IS SO FUN OH GOD.

And.. SUH had their first encore ever here :')

Here's the story. They don't do stand-alone lives back in Japan (they're underground idols) so all their lives were like idol lives with many idol groups performing. So this was their first encore call ever.. So touched it happened in SG, it definitely gave them a good memory :')

After the live ended, headed back to the booth and oh god the crowd was terrible. So crowded and such a huge difference from the first day. Well it's good.. :')

Had to wait veryyyyy long before we could take our photo, and of course no individual shots.

 

Gave them the presents! (Will talk more about this later) And honestly I felt bad when I wanted to pass the photo message to Nijika but Riichan was beside Nijika and she kept looking & smiling widely at me as though anticipating something but my attention was on Nijika.... I felt so bad seriously :( I still love you Riichan...

After their time at the booth ended I practically had to rush down to dance lessons. Couldn't get a cab at Suntec so thought I could make it by mrt to Serangoon then cabbing down, but it was slower than expected so I got off at Paya Lebar intending to cab down from there instead, but couldn't get any cab for 10 minutes so it was about the same seriously lol. Late for dance and entered awkwardly.. And I didn't wanna pluck the CHEERZ plaster off my face because too high for them and all, so my dance teacher said to me "wah you fight ah" or something like that. Fight or fall I forgot LOL. Nooooo it's such a cute plaster why would I use such a cute plaster for injuries :(

And that marks the end of all 3 days of AFA~

Glad we gave them good memories!!

The days following AFA, the members talked quite a bit about their time in AFA and also showed/talked about our presents on their livestreams/radio shows/twitter multiple times and omg.. I felt so touched that they kept mentioning about SG. First time having my presents (well, our presents) so appreciated by idols.. Thank you so much ♥ 

Glad they enjoyed it here though, and hope they'll be able to come back again next year! Meanwhile.. I'll see them in March if they happen to have lives during my stay there!!

Thank you so much SUH (now Iketeru Hearts) for coming to SG. Indeed, you can never expect what's gonna happen. Initially I only had an interest in them because they were idols and I like idols, but I never expected myself to actually fall so deep. Thank you so much ♥ Not to mention they really brightened up my lives a lot.

And although I may seem to be a Nijika oshi, I seriously have no idea who's my oshi man. Too many things happened these few days. There was this event where Riichan fell out of top 5 in the last hour, literally, and she was so sad and it affected me quite badly. Following that, Riichan had another event and I cheered for Riichan so hard and I actually spent $25 on points to cheer her.. And also if Riichan didn't approach/fish me on the first day I wouldn't be into this group. So..

But Nijika's performance was really good and like I said, if I call a performance good it must have really stood out to me..

Then there's Manami who's just so cute LOL. Okay it's not like I like her fully because she's cute.. I kinda had an episode with her although it isn't related to me, but my friend gave her a handmade keychain and Manami was so touched she cried. Although the present didn't come from me but still.. it's touching. But yeah she's cute. /life of overseas fans you can only rely on photos and spazzing over how cute they are instead of experiences with them/

So I have no idea man. Right now it's probably a Nijika/Riichan wOshi with Manami at #3 but it's not solidified. Oh well I'll just be a MD for now till someone catches my heart~
